Business Sisters Networking - October 24, 2023

We’re excited to bring an event to this venue, in an area we have not been to before with a networking event. Domaine Mallity Estates had previous incarnations, most recently as Station 4 Saisons. But the pandemic intervened, and the owners were ready to pass on the baton. And one of our Business Sisters, Embrun-based Lexine Ménard, was thrilled to step up!

We first heard about Lexine’s plans to purchase this Hammond property last March, at a previous 5 à 7 event we had organized. When we went around the circle of participants, she asked for referrals about financing, and shared her dream to buy this small banquet hall, to turn it into a wedding venue. Several of our Business Sisters were eager to help, and just a few short months later we witnessed her cheeky celebratory Facebook video announcing her success!

About Our Host

This 26-year-old shining star is the dynamo behind not one but two Embrun-based businesses, Lexine Photographie and Lexibooth. She herself recently got engaged, so she jokes that she is renovating the space for her own wedding! Lexine promised to talk to our group about her journey with this new venture. She could probably teach us a whole lesson on the power of visualization and the mantra of “if you don’t try, you don’t get.” Get ready to be wowed by her sheer energy and dedication!

About the Event

Finger food platters will be catered by another dynamic duo, Sophie and Joëlle of Les Fins Becs in nearby St. Isidore. Your ticket includes one glass of wine, beer or a special “Business Sister Cocktail,” created just for our group. You can also enjoy unlimited non-alcoholic drinks. (Please consume responsibly and designate a driver!).

We are grateful to our Title Partner, Desjardins Ontario Credit Union, for their ongoing support and door prizes. Thank you also to all the Business Sisters who donated gift certificates and products.

A reminder that photos will be taken – we are at a photographer’s venue, after all. You will also be able to try out the Lexibooth and take as many selfies as you wish! Please keep in mind we reserve the right to use those in social media posts and on our website.

Finally, as we aim to be inclusive, anyone who owns or operates a business or wishes to work with women entrepreneurs is welcome, including men allies.
