Are you ready to connect with other like-minded women entrepreneurs and learn how to make your business more eco-friendly? Then don't miss our next Business Sisters networking event on Tuesday, September 17, from 5 to 7 pm, at Laura's B&B at Riverview Farm in Alexandria.
Laura's B&B is the brainchild of Laura Peck and her partner Sebastian, who have transformed their farm into a showcase of plastic-free living. Laura is not only a B&B operator, but also an artist who creates stunning artworks from natural and recycled materials. She has taught art and writing workshops, some of which she has hosted at the B&B. As our host, she will share her multi-passionate entrepreneurial journey and offer simple ways for Business Sisters to implement eco-friendly practices in their business.
In appreciation for hosting us, we have pledged to use no plastic in the catering of this event. We will enjoy delicious finger foods made from local products and an array of non-alcoholic cocktails, wine and beer. Weather-permitting, we will take a short walk in the nearby trail, and admire the late-summer views of the fields. And of course, we will have plenty of opportunities to chat, exchange ideas, and support each other. The evening will conclude with door prize draws, so don't forget to bring your business cards!
This event is open to all women entrepreneurs, whether you are just starting out or have been in business for years. The cost is $40 per person + HST, which includes food and drinks. Space is limited, so please RSVP soon to reserve your spot. We look forward to seeing you there!
We are grateful to the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry for their partnership and financial contribution in the production of this event.
