Fireside Chat - April 25, 2023

You told us you were ready for more in-depth conversations between women business owners, and we are happy to oblige!

Join us for our first-ever "fireside chat"! What is a fireside chat? It's an informal conversation, usually with a facilitator. It's meant to promote the exchange of stories and ideas.

For Business Sisters, this is a unique way to have deeper conversations between women business owners. This first night's topic is one that we rarely talk about in groups, and especially not at networking events: perfectionism. It's a topic Doreen, our Founder, has written about recently.

As entrepreneurs perfectionism can keep us small. Can sabotage our plans. Can cause us undue stress (who needs more stress??).

But how to let it go?

Individually it's hard to come up with the answer, but together we can talk through solutions. We will chat about supporting one another to come out of the perfectionism trap, creating more resilience and ease in our business.

Please come with an open mind and a desire to learn from people with different experiences.

This evening will be informal, with a simple menu of pizza (vegetarian or meat; we will have gluten-free), salad, squares for dessert and your choice of beverage (plus coffee or tea). For the best possible experience, please plan to be here for the entire duration of the event.

It will be deliberately intimate too! A maximum of 32 seats.

Unlike our regular networking events, we will not be taking photos except for a group shot for those willing to partake at the end.

This event is open to anyone who owns or co-owns a business, with a special invitation to entrepreneurs from rural areas and small towns in Eastern Ontario.
