Our mission is to support women entrepreneurs, community organizations and individuals by providing a professional space for events. Please read our policy carefully to understand the terms of use for renting our event space.
Please note: we reserve the right to change the following Terms of Use as necessary.
1. Permitted Events
Permitted Events:
- Business: Meetings, Workshops, Seminars, Product Launches
- Community: Networking Events, Art Exhibitions, Board Meetings, AGMs
- Personal: Retirement Celebrations, Baby Showers, Celebrations of Life
Please note: A Business Sisters staff member must be present at all times during events. Alcohol service and consumption are strictly prohibited. Cooking on the premises is not allowed. All food must be provided by a licensed caterer, or only store-bought, closed-bag snacks can be served.
2. Event Approval
- Business Sisters reserves the right to approve or decline any event booking request.
- All events must align with the mission and values of Business Sisters.
- Business Sisters reserves the right to terminate any event that breaks our rules or is deemed inappropriate, with no obligation for a refund.
3. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellation by Client:
- Cancellations made more than 30 days before the event date will receive a full refund.
- Cancellations made 7-30 days before the event date will receive a 50% refund.
- Cancellations made less than 7 days before the event date will not be eligible for a refund.
Cancellation by Business Sisters: Business Sisters reserves the right to cancel any event due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, a full refund will be provided.
4. Damage and Liability
- Clients are responsible for any damage caused to the property during their event.
- Any damage or misuse of the space will be billed at cost to the client.
- Business Sisters is not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property that occurs during the event.
5. Payment Terms
Payment for bookings are due upon event approval at which time the full payment amount is due.
6. Event Termination
- Business Sisters reserves the right to terminate any event that violates our policies or is deemed inappropriate.
- No refunds will be given if an event is terminated due to policy violations or inappropriate conduct.
7. General Conduct
- Clients and their guests are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and professional manner. No aggressive behaviour will be tolerated.
- Loud music, disruptive behaviour, or any activities that may disturb other tenants or neighbours are strictly prohibited.
8. Cleaning and Setup
- Clients are responsible for setting up and cleaning up after their event.
- The space must be returned to its original condition by the end of the rental period.
- Any additional cleaning required will be billed to the client.
